LOCATION:
Salina is centrally located in Utah 142 miles from Salt Lake City and 181 miles from St. George.  Salina is positioned 38.94 degrees north of the equator and 111.85 degrees west of the prime meridian.  The amount of land area in Salina is 5.832 sq. kilometers.

Approximately 5,150 feet above sea level.

CLIMATE:
Salina has a moderate climate with summer temperatures averaging high 80's and winter daytime temperatures in the high 30's.  Salina’s valley areas rarely receive over 12 inches of snow and about 7.82 inches of rain precipitation each year.

Highways/Freeways:  I-70, I-15 within 30 minutes (near Scipio), US 50, 24, and 89
Airports: Richfield Runway Length is 6,645 feet and the Salina-Gunnison Runway Length is 3,815 feet

EDUCATION:
Schools in Salina: Salina Elementary School, North Sevier Middle School, and North Sevier High School.
Schools in Sevier County: Four Elementary Schools - 2,190 Students; Three Middle Schools - 1,183 Students; Three High Schools - 1,212 Students; One Adult/Alternative High School - 106 Students.  Snow College South, located in Richfield, is also available for continued education.

RELIGION:
Sevier County offers 20 major denominational churches: Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, First Baptist Church, Sister of Holy Cross, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Valley Community Church, and more.

HEALTH SERVICES:
The Salina Medical Clinic offers general family medical practice services.  Only 17 miles north of Salina is the Sevier Valley Hospital, which is IHC affiliated.  Also IHC affiliated is the Gunnison Valley Hospital, which is only 16 miles north of Salina in Gunnison.  Salina, Richfield, and Gunnison also has dentists and orthodontists, veterinarians, and physical therapists. Central Utah Public Health Services are available, including several nursing homes and programs for senior citizens. The New Horizons Crisis Center in Richfield provides services for individuals and families who are victims of abuse.
